The hydrant!

First task after 4250 is chocked is to pull the line from the back
discharge connection. We can start using water from this hose in seconds
after arrival, using water from the onboard 300 gallon tank.

Do not just yank open a hydrant valve. Quick
opening will damage stuff you do not want to fix!

Before hooking up any hose, always open the caps and let some water
run to clear any debry that may have gotten into the water feed. It
will mess up a nozzle and/or pump!

Now we can add a 2 1/2" gated Y valve. This allows us to use two
lines from the hydrant without having to shut it off first.
We may also attach a 2 1/2" gate valve to the other side of the
hydrant so others can hook up to the hydrant as well.
